سورة التكوير
81:1
1. اِذَا الشَّمْسُ كُوِّرَتْ
1. When the sunlight is rolled up.
1. جب دھوپ لپیٹی جائے
81:2
2. وَاِذَا النُّجُوْمُ انْكَدَرَتْ
2. And when the stars fall down.
2. اور جب تارے جھڑ پڑیں
81:3
3. وَاِذَا الْجِبَالُ سُيِّرَتْ
3. And when the mountains are driven.
3. اور جب پہاڑ چلائے جائیں
81:4
4. وَاِذَا الْعِشَارُ عُطِّلَتْ
4. And when milch camels roam abandoned.
4. اور جب تھلکی (گابھن) اونٹنیاں چھوٹی پھریں
81:5
5. وَاِذَا الْوُحُوْشُ حُشِرَتْ
5. And when wild animals are herded together.
5. اور جب وحشی جانور جمع کیے جائیں
81:6
6. وَاِذَا الْبِحَارُ سُجِّرَتْ
6. And when the seas are set afire.
6. اور جب سمندر سلگائے جائیں
81:7
7. وَاِذَا النُّفُوْسُ زُوِّجَتْ
7. And when the souls are paired.
7. اور جب جانوں کے جوڑ بنیں
81:8
8. وَاِذَا الْمَوْءٗدَةُ سُىِٕلَتْ
8. And when the girl-child who was buried alive is asked.
8. اور جب زندہ دبائی ہوئی سے پوچھا جائے
81:9
9. بِاَيِّ ذَنْۢبٍ قُتِلَتْ
9. Upon what sin was she killed for.
9. کس خطا پر ماری گئی
81:10
10. وَاِذَا الصُّحُفُ نُشِرَتْ
10. And when the Records of Account are laid bare.
10. اور جب نامہٴ اعمال کھولے جائیں،
81:11
11. وَاِذَا السَّمَاۗءُ كُشِطَتْ
11. And when the heaven is torn away.
11. اور جب آسمان جگہ سے کھینچ لیا جائے
81:12
12. وَاِذَا الْجَــحِيْمُ سُعِّرَتْ
12. And when hell is further enflamed.
12. اور جب جہنم بھڑکایا جائے
81:13
13. وَاِذَا الْجَنَّةُ اُزْلِفَتْ
13. And when Paradise is brought near.
13. اور جب جنت پاس لائی جائے
81:14
14. عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَّآ اَحْضَرَتْ
14. Every soul will then come know what it has brought.
14. ہر جان کو معلوم ہوجائے گا جو حاضر لائی
81:15
15. فَلَآ اُقْسِمُ بِالْخُنَّسِ
15. So by oath of those that revolve. (The planets.)
15. تو قسم ہے ان کی جو الٹے پھریں،
81:16
16. الْجَوَارِ الْكُنَّسِ
16. Who move straight and stop.
16. سیدھے چلیں تھم رہیں
81:17
17. وَالَّيْلِ اِذَا عَسْعَسَ
17. And by oath of the night when it turns back.
17. اور رات کی جب پیٹھ دے
81:18
18. وَالصُّبْحِ اِذَا تَنَفَّسَ
18. And by oath of the morning when it takes birth.
18. اور صبح کی جب دم لے
81:19
19. اِنَّهٗ لَقَوْلُ رَسُوْلٍ كَرِيْمٍ
19. This is indeed the recitation of an honoured Noble Messenger. (Angel Jibreel – peace and blessings be upon him.)
19. بیشک یہ عزت والے رسول کا پڑھنا ہے،
81:20
20. ذِيْ قُوَّةٍ عِنْدَ ذِي الْعَرْشِ مَكِيْنٍ
20. The mighty, the honoured in the presence of the Lord of the Throne.
20. جو قوت والا ہے مالک عرش کے حضور عزت والا وہاں اس کا حکم مانا جاتا ہے
81:21
21. مُّطَاعٍ ثَمَّ اَمِيْنٍ
21. The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel).
21. امانت دار ہے
81:22
22. وَمَا صَاحِبُكُمْ بِمَجْنُوْنٍ
22. And your companion is not insane.
22. اور تمہارے صاحب مجنون نہیں
81:23
23. وَلَقَدْ رَاٰهُ بِالْاُفُقِ الْمُبِيْنِ
23. And indeed he saw him on the clear horizon. (Prophet Mohammed saw Angel Jibreel in his true shape – peace and blessings be upon them).
23. اور بیشک انہوں نے اسے روشن کنارہ پر دیکھا
81:24
24. وَمَا هُوَ عَلَي الْغَيْبِ بِضَنِيْنٍ
24. And this Prophet is not miserly upon the hidden. (Allah gave the knowledge of the hidden to the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.)
24. اور یہ نبی غیب بتانے میں بخیل نہیں،
81:25
25. وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَيْطٰنٍ رَّجِيْمٍ
25. And the Qur’an is not the recitation of Satan the outcast.
25. اور قرآن، مردود شیطان کا پڑھا ہوا نہیں،
81:26
26. فَاَيْنَ تَذْهَبُوْنَ
26. So where are you going?
26. پھر کدھر جاتے ہو
81:27
27. اِنْ هُوَ اِلَّا ذِكْرٌ لِّلْعٰلَمِيْنَ
27. That is but an advice to the entire creation!
27. وہ تو نصیحت ہی ہے سارے جہان کے لیے،
81:28
28. لِمَنْ شَاۗءَ مِنْكُمْ اَنْ يَّسْتَــقِيْمَ
28. For the one among you who wishes to become upright.
28. اس کے لیے جو تم میں سیدھا ہونا چاہے
81:29
29. وَمَا تَشَاۗءُوْنَ اِلَّآ اَنْ يَّشَاۗءَ اللّٰهُ رَبُّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ ۧ
29. And what will you wish, except if Allah wills – the Lord of the Creation.
29. اور تم کیا چا ہو مگر یہ کہ چاہے اللہ سارے جہان کا رب،
